Description
The H. Upmann Half Corona was launched by Habanos at the Upmann Gala during the Habanos Festival in Cuba in 2011. This small H. Upmann cigar is a new vitola (44 ring gauge x 90 mm length). Habanos created this short-sized Cuban cigar in view of the limited time and places available to smoke these days. Short in size but full of sensation. A 20-30 min smoke, this cigar must be smoked at a regular, gentle pace to avoid any over heating to the mild tobacco. It comes also in a fabulous “Tin of 5” cigars.
Before Lighting up: The Half Corona makes for a very easy smoke and can be considered the perfect introduction cigar for any smoker embarking into the world of the Habano.
Burning: The H. Upmann Half Corona presents a smooth to medium fortaleza, being very aromatic and of a balanced flavor.
Final: Watch out for a wicked finish. The power comes all of a sudden and catch you off guard.

Herman Upmann was a banker from Germany who so loved Cuban cigars that he moved to Havana in 1844 and set up as both banker and cigar maker. His bank closed in the early 1920s but his cigars live on as a fine example of an elegant light to medium-flavoured Habano.
All the leaf in H. Upmann is from the Vuelta Abajo tobacco region.

Ένα μικρό αλλά "μεγάλο" πούρο….είναι τόσο ωραίο που δυστυχώς όταν τελειώνει σ’αφήνει με το…: να είχε λίγο ακόμα…και λίγο ακόμα…
Ακριβό για το μέγεθός του σίγουρα (δυστυχώς στην Ελλάδα πρέπει να ξηλωνόμαστε για να καπνίζουμε ένα πούρο της προκοπής) …από την άλλη όμως ένα υπέροχο πουράκι. Δε μπορώ να το αξιολογήσω αναλογικά σε σχέση τιμής-ποιότητας γιατί θα το αδικήσω(είπαμε ακριβό αλλά πολύ πολύ καλό)

Με απογοήτευσε αναπάντεχα, εξαιτίας της υπερβολικής υγρασίας – για το γούστο μου -, θα τα προσαρμόσω στο προτιμητέο επίπεδο υγρασίας και θα ξαναγράψω.
