HOYO DE MONTERREY – Hermosos No 4 Anejados

Habanos presents Anejado Line which in Spanish means “Mature”.

Aged Habanos =Anejados

These cigars mature after wrapping, for at least 5 years, kept in perfect conditions in a way that allows them to obtain more rich nuances in their taste and the necessary complexity of perfumes without losing their original organoleptic characteristics.

Hoyo de Monterrey Hermosos No. 4 Anejados was released at the end of 2015 with Partagas Coronas Gordas Anejados as special editions available in very limited quantities.

The particularity of these cigars is that they have been produced 5 to 8 years ago and then matured into their original cedar boxes.  They are incredibly mild and creamy due to the aging process developping at the same time a strong woody flavor.

These are rather mild cigars, with a body evolving from mild to moderate, which makes them the perfect daily cigar.

Apart from the woody flavors, there are also notes of pepper, leather and bittersweet chocolate. Each box has been opened separately and each stick has been checked. Thats the reason that you can find under each box the original stamp that records the date and factory where they have been wrapped 8 years ago plus an additional “Revisado” stamp (checked).

They are sold in the same box in which the cigars matured. During maturation the box has no labels that are added just before it’s placed on the market. They have double ring, one with company’s name and the other with the name Anejados and the vitola. The production date is printed on the base of the box while the word “Revisado” seals the base since 100% of these boxes are opened and thoroughly checked.

A luxurious suggestion from Habanos that will add flavor and delight to your important moments!

Intensity of Taste: Medium

Packaging: 25 Cigars

Dimensions: 127×19.05mm

Ring: 48

Hoyo de Monterrey owes its origin to the town of San Luis y Martinez, which lies at the heart of theVuelta Abajo tobacco region. Here the Hoyo de Monterrey plantation, can be reached through a gate on the town’s main square inscribed “Hoyo de Monterrey. José Gener. 1860”.

“Hoyo” literally means a “hole” and in this case describes the low-lying position of the plantation on the fertile banks of San Juan y Martinez river.

José Gener, a Catalan, first used the name of his vega on a brand of Habanos in 1865.

All sizes are “totalmente a mano, tripa larga” —totally hand made, long filler.

Ωραίο πούρο με καλό rollaρισμα…ωστόσο αν και καταλαβαίνει κανείς στη γεύση την παλαίωση..νομίζω κινείται στις κλασικές γεύσεις των Hoyo
