The name San Cristobal de La Habana was originally given to Cuba’s capital, Havana, when it was founded in 1519, combining the name of Christopher Columbus (St. Christopher) with the indigenous toponym (La Habana).
The San Cristobal de La Habana brand was introduced in 1999 as a tribute to the city’s long history before the turn of the new millennium. Its range consists of four vitolas, with a mild to medium strength profile, using tobacco from the Vuelta Abajo region. Each cigar is named after the forts that surrounded and defended the city during the war with Spain. They are all handmade (Totalmente a Mano) and crafted with the long filler (Tripa Larga) technique.
