XIKAR – 11mm Spark Plug Punch Cigar Cutter (011RDBK)

Description

The Xikar spark plug – 011 is designed just like a spark plug in an internal combustion engine. It is the largest caliber manufactured by Xikar in Punch and has a large ring to fit the keys.

With a simple twist of the base, the sharp blade is exposed or hidden. The blade is locked in three different points to adjust the depth of the cut.

The history of Xikar begins in 1994 in Kansas. Kurt Van Keppel, now the president of Xikar, wanted to buy a good cigar cutter but found many cheap models and high-end models to be of low performance. So, he started designing a more ergonomic cigar cutter with Scott Almsberger. The result was the Xi cutter, which they first manufactured in their garages and has now become the market leader.

The name XIKAR comes from the word “sikar,” which is said to be the first Spanish spelling of the Taíno word for cigar. The Taíno were the indigenous people of Spain and Cuba, where Columbus first landed when he discovered the “New World” and brought tobacco with him. We changed the S to an X (representing two blades) and had the X cut through the i, like a cutter slicing a cigar!
